Finding Peace Through Hardship

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to push a magic button and feel that sense of peace immediately? There are quick fixes that give short term relief, but they are void of opportunity to connect with yourself and strengthen your ability to find that state of inner peace even through hardship.

Connecting with your inner peace

Feeling that authentic sense of peace, which at the heart of it is our relationship with ourselves, is for many people a life-long challenge. Peace for me is letting go of perfection and judgement. It’s accepting and loving who you are in this moment and learning to go with the flow. It’s building a relationship with your mind, body and soul and identifying what it needs in that moment. When we give ourselves a break and start to build a positive relationship with ourselves, we begin to see the world in a more positive light. When we appreciate our individuality, we can accept and appreciate the uniqueness of others. What is right for someone else may not be right for you. Illness and discomfort are signs that something needs to change. Our minds are pretty important influencers in our state of peace. Incorporating tools such as meditation or a task that requires you to be in the moment and get out of your head, will help you manage the inner critic. Deepak Chopra, Pema Chödrön, the Delai Lama  and Sadhguru, are my current go-to’s for wisdom on getting out of my head and into my heart.

How Kinesiology helps you connect with your inner peace

Kinesiology helps you identify the attitudes, beliefs and unhealthy patterns that are in the way to a peaceful existence. Powerful insights can come through calming the mind and meditative practices, but Kinesiology is one powerful tool to explore the depths of the psyche. For many of us, this pandemic has brought fear, rage, uncertainty, financial stress, power struggles, illness and loss. It has brought to the surface deep-seated emotions that we have had to face and process. Personally, it’s been a period of crisis but deep profound healing. The hardship has forced me to reflect on the past, release what no longer serves me, forgive myself and others and create the life I want. Kinesiology has been my saviour through this transformative time, helping me to specifically identify what is at the heart of the discomfort, the lessons that are preventing my self-growth. It’s becoming aware of the subconscious unhealthy patterns that are keeping you stuck, releasing them with energy healing techniques and helping you see the world from a new perspective.

How to keep the peace in a chaotic world

Particularly now where there is so much fear, anger and division in the world, we need to find ways to connect with peace and compassion for ourselves and others. You can’t change your external environment, but you can change the lens you see it through. Through self-enquiry and healing those parts of yourself that were harbouring anger, fear and separateness, you’re less triggered when faced with these emotionally charged experiences. The potency they once held and your survival response to them, appear to have eased. You don’t buy into it anymore; you only see someone’s else’s projection of suffering. Life is our mirror. It presents us with situations to teach us something and help us grow. When we’re triggered in situations, it’s highlighting a part of us that needs attention. There are many factors that may make it more difficult to connect with the state of inner peace, but it’s through these more challenging times that we grow the most. You may just need some extra tools to support you through it.
