Child Safety Policy
Statement of Commitment
Elise Guy Kinesiology is committed to ensuring all children who attend our clinic feel safe and supported. We are an organisation that aims to ensure that we create a culturally safe environment and have zero-tolerance for any forms of child abuse. It’s important that we gain permissions to work and check in on children through every step of the process. We aim to empower children to share any concerns at any time during the consultation.
Key Risks
Physical or Sexual abuse
Grooming (abuse of trust usually occurs where there is an ongoing relationship)
Inappropriate adult-to-child contact
Risk Management Strategies
All children under the age of 18 years old attend their Kinesiology Session with parent/guardian supervision.
Children aged 16 years and over who request some privacy during their consultation, the parent/guardian can sit in the waiting room. Must have parental permission.
Kinesiology uses physical touch, such as touch Acupressure Points and muscle testing. Our organisation ensures that we communicate these processes to all clients. At no point would we need to touch sensitive areas. Where possible we work more ethereally meaning we work on the client’s energy body, so not requiring physical touch.
All clients and parent/guardians of children sign our Intake Form prior to their initial consultation where they acknowledge that they can stop the consultation at any moment.
Empower Children
Our ethos is aimed at empowering all clients to be in the driver's seat of their health and wellbeing. We are constantly checking in with children throughout the balance to see how they are going and if they are comfortable.
We encourage all clients to connect with their inner guidance to guide their life, children included. All our clients are guiding the outcome of the kinesiology session. Our job is to interpret and communicate this information to each client.
Children must be willing to receive a balance. We will always ask permission from the child’s energy when doing surrogacy work. Meaning I will muscle check for permission to work in the child’s absence. If permission is not given, the parent can decide if they would like a balance instead.
